开化龙顶是浙江新开发的优质名茶之一，简称龙顶。产于开化县齐溪镇的大龙村、苏庄乡的石耳山、溪口乡的白云山等地。开化龙顶名茶，自明朝崇祯年间就被列为贡品，每当清明前夕得用快马飞舟送至京城，被皇帝、大臣们享用，深受宠爱。

该茶创制于新中国建立后的50年代，一度产制中断，从1957年开始研制，1979年恢复生产，并成为浙江名茶中一枝新秀。经过不断改进，品质逐步提高，龙顶茶壮芽显毫，形似青龙盘白云，沸水冲泡后，芽尖竖立，如幽兰绽开，汤色清澈明亮，味爽清新，齿留遗香，冲泡三次，仍有韵味。成品色泽翠绿多毫，条索紧直苗秀；香气清高持久，具花香，滋味鲜爽浓醇，汤色清澈嫩绿；叶底成朵明亮。

主产区分布于开化县的齐溪、苏庄、长虹、张湾、华埠，遍布各个乡镇，年产量约6000公斤，供不应求。

品质特征

外形--紧直挺秀，银绿披毫；香气--馥郁持久，分别是兰花香、板栗香，尤以兰花香为上品；滋味--鲜醇爽口，回味甘甜；汤色--杏绿、清澈、明亮；叶底--肥嫩、匀齐、成朵。
