第一家山姆会员商店于1983年在美国俄克拉荷马州成立,其后拓展至美国、加拿大、波多黎各、墨西哥、巴西、中国多个国家。山姆会员商店于1996年引进入中国。目前中国已有6家山姆会员商店,分别在深圳(1家)、北京(2家)、上海(1家)、福州(1家)和广州(1家)。

1、免费停车:许多山姆会员店提供免费停车,如深圳的山姆店有近400个免费停车位,2011年8月1日起开始收费。

2、糕点房:店内设有“山姆休闲廊”供应风味美食、新鲜糕点。

3、免费咨询:店内聘有专业人士为顾客免费咨询电脑、照相机、录像机及其相关用品的有关情况,有助于减少盲目购买带来的风险。
