名典重要沿革
1983年,刘兴典先生在中国台湾开始了对咖啡的全方位研究,之后拟筹备开设咖啡馆,且以“名典”命名。
1984年初,名典正式于中国台湾营业。在经营咖啡的同时,还供应国内外著名咖啡豆、餐饮器具,行销市场。
1986年推出欧式花果茶。
1991年引进最新自动烘焙机及增设全自动化生产设备,并推出欧美流行的天然健康侯伯茶、果粒茶及速简食品,使得休闲与“咖啡”、“茗茶”进行了完美的结合。
1995年,名典从中国台湾进入中国大陆,于广东省东莞市厚街镇开设第一家分店。
1997年,名典开始向四川省发展,第10店自贡店开门营业。
1998年4月,名典第26店硚口店于武汉开业,标志着名典正式进驻湖北市场。
1999年1月,名典第77店桂林一店开业,名典开始进驻广西。
1999年5月,名典进入福建市场,福建省内第一家名典门店是第118店厦门湖中店。
1999年9月,名典进驻陕西,第117店西安高新店开门营业。
2000年2月,名典第138店北京亚运村店开始营业,标志着名典进驻北京。
2000年3月,名典进入江苏,第一家分店是第136店苏州景德店。
2000年3月,名典进驻东北市场,第153店大连一店开门营业。
2000年4月,名典第157店济南体育中心店开业,标志着名典正式进驻山东。
2001年2月,浙江省内第一家名典分店——义乌店开门营业,该店排名第212。

2007年10月,在中国国家工商行政管理总局发布的“商标评审委员会2007年在商标争议案件中认定的51件驰名商标”中,名典高调入榜,此举标志着名典正式成为国家授权认可的“中国驰名商标”的著名品牌。
这51个新认定的驰名商标,近几年内均遭受到仿冒、假冒、盗用等情况,并引起商标争议。中国国家工商行政管理总局商标评审委员会在审查过程中,根据这些品牌的实际情况,给予了“驰名商标”的法律认定,这些品牌在商标争议中全部获胜。
2009年12月,名典咖啡组建“名典国际”控股有限公司,正式启动公司重组事宜。
2010年6月,名典推出“牛扒+咖啡”时尚新概念店。新概念店的产品以创新的牛扒和传统的咖啡为主打,对名典以往的产品结构进行了相关的调整。
2011年5月18日,名典咖啡语茶总部由东莞厚街搬迁至深圳宝安。
