学校占地3000余亩，建筑面积65万余平方米；固定资产总值23亿元，其中教学科研仪器设备近5亿元、医疗设备近7亿元；图书馆藏书160余万册。设有医学院、附属医院、农牧学院、化工学院、财经学院、农林科学院、畜牧兽医科学院、继续教育学院等15个院、26个系（部）和14个专业研究所。

学校面向全国31个省、市、自治区招生，在校生近27000余人。其中，全日制硕博研究生1400余人，普通全日制本科生20000余人。有教职工4615人。
