2006年1月,南航开始实施向国际化规模网络型航空公司的战略转型,全力推进广州、北京“双枢纽”建设。
2007年11月15日,南航正式加入天合联盟,成为中国首家加入世界航空联盟组织的航空公司,标志着中国民航国际化进程迈出了重要一步。
