明洪武十八年，出生于武冈州的（明代）蓝玉在一场残酷的征战后口干舌燥，猛然想起少年时随经商的父亲在离武冈州府不远的湘黔古驿道上的一处茶水楼喝过一种生津止渴、提神醒脑的上等好茶。于是，他便差遣部下重去寻访，部下历经千辛万苦，终于在一个名叫古楼的小山村找到了蓝将军记忆中的茶叶。蓝玉不敢独自尝用，派人进宫奉献给明太祖朱元璋，朱元璋品尝后龙颜大悦，一道圣旨将此茶封为贡茶，命令年年贡奉，并在古楼设茶司专管茶叶生产、加工和贩运，湘黔古道也因此而一度繁荣。

经过近千年来的传承和改进，古楼茶的品质愈发高贵、优雅。

改革开放之初，古楼茶厂就将茶叶送到各级检测部门检测，无论色、香、味、型，古楼茶叶都无可挑剔，更难能可贵的是，古楼茶的内涵营养物质含量高于其他茶品。经多次检测：古楼茶叶的水浸出物高达38.64-44.35%，茶多酚25.68-31.81%，氨基酸3.96-4.45%，咖啡碱4.16-4.35%。是纯天然茶叶中的佳品。

After nearly a thousand years of inheritance and improvement, the quality of ancient building tea has become more noble and elegant. At the beginning of reform and opening up, Gulou tea factory sent tea to all levels of testing departments for testing. No matter the color, fragrance, taste and type, Gulou tea is impeccable. What's more, the content of the connotation nutrients of Gulou tea is higher than other tea products.
