集团前身是1987年创建的仅有一台0.6万千瓦机组的小火电厂，历经近30年的艰苦奋斗，科学发展，现已成为以热力公司为母公司，由水泥、编织、房地产、污水处理等分公司组成的企业集团，有员工3000余人，固定资产50多亿元。水泥公司拥有六条新型熟料干法水泥生产线和两台0.75万千瓦纯低温余热发电机组，年产水泥700万吨，“孟电牌”水泥2010年通过了ISO9000质量体系认证，广泛用于京珠高速、南水北调、黄河二桥等项目建设，在激烈的市场竞争中，彰显了强劲的生命力。编织公司产销两旺；房地产开发公司前景广阔，污水处理系统运行正常。

集团热力公司原有8台热电机组，装机容量17.5万千瓦。为落实国家“上大压小、节能减排”产业政策，集团主动请缨，于2007年10月26日一举将8台热电机组爆破拆除（损失10亿多元）。小火电机组爆破拆除后，集团对原热力公司1060名员工进行了内部消化分流，停产期间工资待遇一分不降，实现了企业和谐发展。与此同时，获准建设总投资26亿元的2×300MW热电机组项目已于2012年3月建成并投入运行，为集团调整产业结构，实现质的跨越，赢得了宝贵商机。项目建成后和以往小火电相比，每年可节约原煤42万吨，脱硫脱硝同步建设，每年可减排二氧化硫1.5万吨（项目环保设备投资近3亿元），对全市集中供热可关停165台小锅炉，对当地环境改善意义重大。

The group thermal power company has 8 thermal power units with an installed capacity of 175000 kW. In order to implement the national industrial policy of "large scale, small scale, energy conservation and emission reduction", the group took the initiative to demolish eight thermal power units (with a loss of more than 1 billion yuan) in one stroke on October 26, 2007. After the demolition of small thermal power units by blasting, the group digested and divided 1060 employees of the original thermal power company internally. During the shutdown period, the wages and salaries did not drop, realizing the harmonious development of the enterprise. At the same time, the 2 × 300MW Thermal power unit project with a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan has been completed and put into operation in March 2012, which has won valuable business opportunities for the group to adjust its industrial structure and achieve a qualitative leap forward. After the completion of the project, compared with the previous small thermal power plants, 420000 tons of raw coal can be saved annually, desulfurization and denitrification can be constructed synchronously, 15000 tons of sulfur dioxide can be reduced annually (the investment of environmental protection equipment of the project is nearly 300 million yuan), 165 small boilers can be shut down for the city's central heating, which is of great significance to the local environment improvement.
