潍坊风筝面粉有限责任公司有着悠久的历史，创建于1940年以前，时称潍坊大来面粉厂，是十几家私人股东合资开办的私营专业小型面粉厂，且是当时潍县较大的私营面粉加工企业。潍坊大来面粉厂先后经历了抗日战争时期、解放战争时期、建国初期和公私合营时期四个阶段，至1966年更名为潍坊东风面粉厂时，历时26载。在此期间，1955年公司合营后，企业性质由私营转变为国营。1968年，企业在潍城区健康西街188号建设新厂，同时更名为潍坊面粉厂。潍坊面粉厂建立初期，仅拥有日产60吨标准粉车间一座， 1984年等级粉车间建成投产，企业面粉生产能力增加为180吨，1990年至1994年期间，300吨专用粉车间和潍坊粮食加工厂先后建成投产和并入，企业发展成为集面粉加工、挂面加工于一体的综合性粮食加工企业。2002年，在潍坊面粉厂的基础上通过企业改制成立了潍坊风筝面粉有限责任公司，把面粉和挂面加工作为主营项目。2008年1月，随着企业退城进园工作的基本完成，公司新厂址迁至潍坊市坊子区龙泉街东首1号，公司发展成为工艺技术专业、设施配套完善的现代化粮食加工企业，并在昌乐县成立了分公司——山东鲁中风筝面粉有限公司。

公司有员工500余人，主要生产“风筝”牌系列面粉、“柳叶”牌系列挂面，年生产各种面粉20多万吨，各种挂面2万吨。通过了ISO9001质量管理体系认证、ISO14001环境管理体系认证、ISO22000食品安全管理体系认证、HACCP体系认证。
