书院制是中大特色。现有的成员书院计有崇基学院、新亚书院、联合书院和逸夫书院，和新增的晨兴书院、善衡书院、敬文书院、伍宜孙书院及和声书院。它们与大学相辅相成，提供以学生为本的全人教育和关顾辅导，加强师生间的交流和互动，凝聚学生对书院和母校的归属感。
校园环境
中大校园面积一百三十七点三公顷，俯瞰吐露港，是全港宽广、绿意盎然的校园。为满足学习与生活所需，校内有齐备的设施 ，包括图书馆，另有文物馆、音乐厅、游泳池、运动场、网球场、壁球场、水上活动中心和健身室等。
