本世纪60年代以前，中国的装修行业仍旧只有传统木工的施工方式。而国外已经有组合隔间的概念并开始推广，受欧美观念影响，东南亚地区也开始以台湾为首开始研发组合隔间。

1978年，优格董事长进入蜂巢板组合隔间行业，历经工厂工人——装修工程监工---工厂厂长——销售员——设计工程师-----销售经理，成为台湾组合隔间行业极少数拥有工厂作业、设计领域、装修工程经验，系统开发、系统销售为一体的专业人才。

1992年，薛董事长在台湾创立了优格公司，并综合组合隔间的优缺点而提出与欧美隔间结构不同的新组合概念，用高张力弹片将面板与骨架组合起来，成为台湾新型的组合隔间——PH高隔间，其独特的组合方式及功能深受广大客户的欢迎。
