蒙牛已经建成了集奶源建设、乳品生产、销售、研发为一体的大型乳及乳制品产业链,规模化、集约化牧场奶源达94%以上,居行业领先。目前,蒙牛在全国20多个省区市建立了31个生产基地50多个工厂,年产能超过770万吨,年销售额超过430亿元。近年来,蒙牛着力整合全球优势资源,先后与丹麦Arla、法国Danone(达能)、美国WhiteWave、新西兰AsureQuality(安硕)达成战略合作,并联合君乐宝、雅士利、现代牧业、原生态牧业等国内优秀伙伴,快速与国际乳业先进水平接轨,为消费者提供营养健康的食品。

蒙牛积极投入研发资金,建成了国际领先的乳制品研发中心,并承担中国农业部与丹麦食品、农业和渔业部牵头成立的“中国-丹麦乳品技术合作中心”这一国家级合作项目在中方的实施。蒙牛先后与30余家高等院校和科研机构建立了合作关系,在为行业培养人才和解决制约发展的关键技术方面发挥着重要作用。截至2013年底,蒙牛集团申请专利1409件,授权专利1029件。
