娲石集团始建于1970年10月，其前身是湖北省水利厅阳逻水泥厂；2004年改制为民营股份制企业；2008年9月武汉阳逻水泥有限公司成立；2014年4月，经国家工商总局批准，将武汉阳逻水泥有限公司变更为娲石水泥集团有限公司，并以其为母公司组建娲石水泥集团，简称娲石集团。

集团旗下有娲石水泥集团有限公司、阳新娲石水泥有限公司、湖北娲石股份有限公司、武汉娲石商砼有限公司、阳新娲石商砼有限公司、阳新娲石建材有限公司、武汉市阳逻通达水运有限公司、武汉市娲石技术学校、武汉万世置业有限公司、武汉万世科技有限公司和武汉市通达船舶制造有限公司等11个子公司。公司注册资金38636万元，在册职工2000余人。
