发展历程 

广州酒家位于文昌南2号,始建于1935年,光复南路英记茶庄店主陈星海看中了这个地点,便在这里开设了一间酒家,因店址面向西南而取名西南酒家。1938年酒家毁于火灾。1940年冬,陈星海、关乐民、廖弼等人集股重建复业,并取“食在广州”之意将西南酒家更名为广州大酒家。

1950年2月,广州酒家歇业,后由蔡伟汉出资复业。1956年2月公私合营后成为国营企业。50年代末至70年代末,广州酒家在饮食业原料十分紧缺的情况下,一方面研制以瓜菜、蕃薯等物料作包点、馅料的代用品,保证大众化供应;另一方面则钻研烹饪技术,为“广交会”供应创制名菜名点。

开放改革后,广州酒家发展很快。1988年9月,酒家被商业部评定了国家二级企业。1989年12月30日起在海珠区滨江路开设了滨江西广州酒家分店,现已发展有滨江西、天河体育东、黄埔、五羊新城芳村等多家分店。1983年,酒家自筹和贷款600万元进行全面装修改造,使其面貌、格局焕然一新,成为国家旅游城市定点接待单位。

1991年正式成立广州酒家企业集团,在餐饮服务的基础上大力发展食品工业,企业规模不断发展壮大。企业集团拥有八间高级酒家(分店)、一个大型食品生产基地及遍布全市的连锁食品商场,并跻身全国餐饮业十强,成为一个总资产达5亿多元的最具广州餐饮特色的大型饮食企业集团,曾获得“中华老字号”、“全国十佳酒家”等荣誉称号。

2009年广州酒家集团全面转制为股份有限公司,集团品牌、技术、管理、资金等资源优势得到了进一步整合。
