桃源县锦绣农牧发展有限责任公司于2009年9月开业投产，地处本县寺坪乡，紧靠319国道和常吉高速公路，属湘西门户，是一个以粮食收购、加工、销售为主体，配套鸡、鸭、猪等饲料生产销售、蛋鸡育雏、养殖为一体的农业产业化企业。主要产品为“湘黔情”、“乡思情”、“乡恋情”系列大米，“锦绣牌”系列饲料和鲜鸡蛋。公司拥有两条年加工精米4万吨的自动生产线和一条年生产能力6万吨颗粒料或年生产10万吨粉料的自动生产线，是继三尖之后桃源第二家有饲料生产许可的企业。也是桃源南路较大的粮食收购、加工企业。

公司将延长产业链，正着力抓好产业的三个配套。一是在桃源南路逐步建5万亩优质稻基地，为优质米生产提供原粮保障。二是将利用公司生产饲料的优势，自建15万羽蛋鸡养殖基地，为规模养殖进行示范，改变传统分散养殖模式，促进桃源南路及纵深的湘西、怀化等地养殖业发展的同时，带动公司饲料生产销售的增长。三是利用回收的鸡粪，建设年产4万吨生物有机肥生产线，用订单农户推广使用有机肥，构建销售网络，打响品牌，利用“锦绣种养专业合作社”把种养大户紧紧地团结在公司旗下，实行“公司+农户+合作社”的发展模式，使公司的三大系列产品形成三大支柱，从而成就“锦绣”品牌。
