起初公司名称发想源于创始人矢野博丈董事长,他抱持着虽然营运规模不大,但是公司名称一定要以能『创造的大契机』的想法为基础,所以取其「大」、「创」两个字,合而为一造就公司的名称。无庸置疑的是在创业过程并不会永远一帆风顺,某天有个客人至店内购物时,却丢下一句「便宜没好货」,就把店内其他客人都带走。此次的打击虽然让矢野博丈董事长感到非常的懊恼,却也因此燃起了斗志,也启发了矢野博丈董事长执行另一种的营运策略并更改了贩卖模式,决定抛开利润束缚,逆向操作将所有高成本的商品,也全部以一百日圆贩卖予顾客,果不其然大创生活馆从此打出优质的口碑并奠定于零售业的根基,大创生活馆也开始蓬勃发展,开创低单价市场的新契机。
