颐阳集团始建于1956年，位于文登经济开发区珠海东路26号。1998年改制为有限责任公司，是具有60多年酿酒历史的专业酿酒企业。经过60多年的发展，公司由单一生产白酒的企业发展为下辖山东颐阳酒业有限公司、威海金颐阳药业有限公司、山东颐阳生物科技有限公司、包装印刷公司等经济实体的企业集团，主要产品有文登学白酒、药酒、保健酒、西洋参系列产品等100多个花色品种，销往国内十几个省、直辖市和自治区，并出口韩国、新西兰。

威海金颐阳药业有限公司通过药品生产GMP认证与保健食品GMP认证。

2009年集团公司投资2亿元扩建150亩的新园区，建设了5万多平方米的标准车间，安装4条国内优良的自动化流水线。在扩建原有药酒、补酒、包装彩印等项目的基础上，公司依托文登是全国西洋参三大主产区的资源优势，上马西洋参深加工项目，建设了1万多平方米的标准化西洋参深加工车间及粗加工工厂。年可加工鲜参3000吨、加工干参4000吨（包括西洋参皂苷和多糖的提取、生产系列西洋参深加工产品）。现有西洋参衍生产品：西洋参蜜片、西洋参口服液、西洋参口含片、西洋参片等。其中，中药饮片车间已于2013年11月取得了GMP认证，加工范围包括：净制、切制、炒制、炙制、煅制、蒸制和直接口服，成为威海地区一家具有国家许可资质的中药材加工企业，产品可进入药店、医院等正规销售渠道销售；深加工车间于2016年7月取得了SC认证，产品有即食参、口含片、袋用茶、颗粒冲剂、饮料等等。

It can process 3000 tons of fresh ginseng and 4000 tons of dry ginseng annually (including the extraction of ginsenosides and polysaccharides of American ginseng and the production of a series of deep-processing products of American ginseng). The existing derivative products of American ginseng: American ginseng honey tablet, American ginseng oral liquid, American ginseng buccal tablet, American ginseng tablet, etc. Among them, the workshop of Chinese herbal pieces has obtained GMP certification in November 2013, and its processing scope includes: purification, cutting, frying, roasting, calcining, steaming and direct oral administration. It has become a national licensed Chinese herbal medicine processing enterprise in Weihai, and its products can be sold in pharmacies, hospitals and other regular sales channels. The deep processing workshop has obtained SC certification in July 2016, and its products include: Ready to eat ginseng, buccal tablets, tea bags, granules, beverages and so on.
