利乐在中国的大客户是伊利,起初只是一家小型乳品厂,主要服务于呼和浩特周边地区。该公司一直希望将质优价廉的本地乳品送往全国,特别是乳品发展迅速的华南地区,但是苦于没有一家适合长途运输的中国包装供应商。在利乐的帮助下,从呼和浩特运出并保存完好的奶产品在华南地区迅速打开局面。自1997年伊利向利乐购买灌装机,截至2002年底,利乐已经为伊利提供61条生产线。
