玛氏公司完成收购箭牌糖类有限公司

美国弗吉尼亚州(VA)麦克利恩(McLean)——2008年10月6号——玛氏公司(“玛氏”)今天宣布,在2008年9月25日箭牌股东批准此次交易以及获得了所有必需的监管审批之后,玛氏已成功完成对于箭牌糖类有限公司(“箭牌”)的收购。所有箭牌普通股和B类普通股的股票,以每股80美元的现金被予以收购,总额约为230亿美元

收购完成后,箭牌公司即成为家族所有的玛氏公司的一个子公司,并将继续保留目前设在伊利诺斯州芝加哥的总部。箭牌将作为一个独立的业务部门运作,与玛氏现有的巧克力、宠物护理、食品、饮料以及系统生物科学研究部门同门并肩。

("Wrigley") Purchase. All shares of Wrigley's common stock and class B common stock were acquired in cash of $80 per share, with a total value of approximately $23 billion. Upon completion of the acquisition, Wrigley will become a subsidiary of the family owned Mars company and will continue to maintain its current headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Wrigley will operate as an independent business unit alongside Mars' existing chocolate, pet care, food, beverage and systems bioscience research departments. As part of the deal, Mars handed over its global non chocolate candy brand to arrow.
