2002年，GIBSON在中国青岛独资建立了青岛吉森乐器有限公司，主要生产Epiphone系列吉他乐器产品。青岛吉森乐器有限公司坐落于青岛胶州市，目前生产能力已达到年产15万把吉他。 

2003年，Gibson在中国成立了独资子公司——激声博韵（上海）乐器贸易有限公司，在华推广和销售Gibson吉他家族品牌及系列产品和Baldwin钢琴家族品牌及系列产品。作为Gibson在华的独资子公司之一，激声博韵（上海）乐器贸易有限公司在积极致力于丰富中国乐器市场的同时，也把西方优秀的音乐文化和先进的乐器制作工艺真诚地奉献给中国的音乐爱好者。 

2004年，Gibson通过收购在中国广东成立了鲍德温（中山）钢琴乐器有限公司作为Gibson在华的钢琴生产基地。鲍德温（中山）钢琴乐器有限公司位于广东省中山市东升镇，是国家轻工业部钢琴生产定点单位，具备独立开发设计、研制多品种、系列化钢琴乐器产品的技术能力，主要生产包括鲍德温（Baldwin）、翰美登（Hamilton）、杰西·费希尔（J.&C. Fischer）和香山（Sunshine）等品牌的立式，卧式钢琴。
