西南铝荟萃了中国现代铝加工技术设备的精华。建厂初期，便装备了被誉为“四大国宝”的2800毫米热轧机、2800毫米冷轧机、12500吨卧式挤压机、30000吨模锻水压机；上世纪80年代中期至90年代中期，从国外引进技术装备，相继成功改造“1+1”2800毫米热轧生产线，新建成35吨扁锭熔铸生产线、1850毫米冷轧生产线、1700毫米铝箔生产线和1600毫米涂层生产线，具备高精铝材的生产能力，在众多的国内铝加工企业中抢得了发展的先机；进入新世纪，先后建成了“1+4”2100毫米热连轧生产线、“1+2”2000毫米冷连轧生产线、4300毫米厚板生产线和22万吨新熔铸生产线。到2014年底，西南铝累计形成铝加工材产能80余万吨。

西南铝主要产品有铝及铝合金板、带、箔、管、棒、型材、模锻件、自由锻件、压铸件、铝焊管、铝锂合金、高温合金、彩色涂层铝板等产品。

At the beginning of the plant, it was equipped with 2800mm hot rolling mill, 2800mm cold rolling mill, 12500t horizontal extruder and 30000t die forging hydraulic press known as the "four national treasures"; from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, it introduced technical equipment from abroad, successively successfully transformed the "1 + 1" 2800mm hot rolling production line, newly built into 35t flat ingot melting and casting production line, 1850mm cold rolling production line and 17 00mm aluminum foil production line and 1600mm coating production line, with the production capacity of high-precision aluminum, have taken the lead in the development of many domestic aluminum processing enterprises. In the new century, the "1 + 4" 2100mm hot rolling production line, "1 + 2" 2000mm cold rolling production line, 4300mm thick plate production line and 220000t new fusion casting production line have been built successively. By the end of 2014, Sinai aluminum had a total production capacity of more than 800000 tons of aluminum processing materials. The main products of Sinai aluminum include aluminum and aluminum alloy plate, strip, foil, tube, bar, profile, die forging, free forging, die casting, aluminum welding tube, aluminum lithium alloy, high temperature alloy, color coated aluminum plate, etc.
