三万昌——始创于清咸丰五年(公元1855年)，距今已有一百多年的历史了。始创人为苏州人氏盛尧明。字号“三万昌”，意喻为“绵绵不绝，繁荣昌盛”。当时的茶馆商人在这里洽谈生意，报人在这里获取信息，文人在茶馆里高谈学术，甚至还有“吃讲茶”“讲斤头”的风趣习俗(类似于民间法庭)，苏州人叫做“茶会”。

1999年，当时的茶业人士张先生为了重树苏州茶业旗帜，弘扬中国茶文化，投巨资重新树立起“三万昌”这个苏州金字招牌。三万昌各个专业门店的招牌均为苏州书法家李镜清老先生所题。
