芜湖恒升重型机床股份有限公司是研发、设计、生产和销售大型数控金属切削机床的装备制造企业，是中国机床工具工业协会钻镗床分会副理事长单位、中国机床工具工业协会重型机床分会常务理事单位和安徽省机床工具协会常务副理事长单位。生产制造的产品有数控落地铣镗床系列、数控双柱立式车床系列、数控数显重型回转工作台、立式精镗床系列、卧式铣镗床、珩磨机床、数控铣镗床、加工中心等八大系列100多种数控、数显机床产品。公司占地面积20万平方米，已建成厂房、销售、办公和生活服务设施面积12万平方米，拥有年产8亿元重型数控机床研发制造、总装检测生产线和首期年产二万吨树脂砂铸造生产线，拥有机床产品进出口自营权。

恒升公司的前身是芜湖恒升机器厂，成立于1919年，1951年合营为芜湖市机器制造业第一合营铁工厂，1953年公私合营为芜湖第一铁工厂，历经了芜湖红旗机床厂、芜湖机床厂、芜湖重型机床厂、芜湖重型机床股份有限公司的系列变迁。2001年12月5日恒升公司是第一个到安徽新芜经济开发区(原芜湖机械工业园)注册投资发展的民营股份制企业。恒升公司2003年投产至2016年底止已累计上缴国家税金3.4亿元，产值、销售收入、人均劳动生产率和上交国家税金比改制前增长了数10倍。
