中盐北京市盐业公司是中央在京单位,直属于中国盐业总公司,为国有食盐专营批发企业。北京盐业源远流长,1949年1月,北平和平解放,同年4月,在原长芦盐务管理局北平分局的基础上,建立了北平解放后的第一个盐业运销机构--长芦盐业公司北平分公司,并于同年5月14日正式营业。新中国建立后,北京市盐业运销机构的隶属关系及名称几经变动,成为中盐北京市盐业公司。

作为国有食盐专营批发企业,公司担负着北京市18个区县1600万人口的食盐及工、农、渔、牧业用盐的供应任务。公司总资产1.8亿元,仓库、车间、办公用房等面积达4.8万平米,2007年营业额1.72亿元。

公司经营的盐种有:日晒盐、粉碎洗涤盐、精制盐、营养盐系列、调味盐系列、软水盐系列及盐化工产品。其中"京晶"牌食用加碘盐系列有:"京晶"牌软化水盐、"京晶"牌腌制盐。
