中国建筑西北设计研究院有限公司成立于1952年，是建国初期国家组建的六大区建筑设计院之一，现为中国建筑股份有限公司旗下的全资公司。现有职工近1600人。全院共有各类注册人员411人（比例居全国建筑设计院首位），其中：一级注册建筑师119人，二级注册建筑师112人，一级注册结构工程师102人，注册公用设备工程师69人，注册电气工程师29人，注册城市规划师、注册造价师、监理工程师、建造师等90人，人防防护工程师10人。
