中国重汽集团济南豪沃客车有限公司(下称“豪沃客车”)位于山东济南章丘重汽工业园,占地面积近700余亩,稳定年产整车达2000台以上,目前已发展成为规模大、工艺技术条件良好的大中型客车生产基地。豪沃客车是中国重汽(香港)有限公司的两个全资子公司中国重汽(香港)国际资本有限公司和中国重汽济南动力有限公司在原济南客车厂的基础上共同投资设立的客车生产企业,由中国重汽(香港)有限公司拥有和控制,属上市公司中国重汽(香港)有限公司的全资子公司。

中国重汽集团济南豪沃客车有限公司生产基地座落于济南市章丘重汽产业园,总投资8亿元,占地645亩,其中生产面积7.8万平方米,拥有各类主要设备1000多套,具有年产10000台大中型客车的生产能力;拥有企业技术中心和博士后科研工作站。

豪沃客车的前身是出品“黄河”客车的始建于1953年的济南汽车制造总厂(归交通部直属管理),是中国较早客车生产企业之一。

中国重汽曾在1960年生产制造了一辆重型汽车——黄河牌JN150;1983年成功引进了奥地利斯太尔重型汽车项目,是国内较早引进国外重型汽车整车制造技术的企业。国家为彻底改变汽车工业“缺重”局面,解决重型汽车工业低水平发展状况,组建了中国重汽集团,性质为中央直属企业,隶属国务院领导;1993年被批准为国有资产授权经营试点,是较早实施国有资产授权经营的试点企业之一;2007中国重汽集团以红筹形式在香港主板上市,上市公司名为——中国重汽(香港)有限公司,股份代号3808,搭建起了国际化平台;2009年成功实现与德国曼公司战略合作,曼公司参股中国重汽(香港)有限公司25%+1股,中国重汽引进曼公司的发动机、中卡、重卡车桥及相应整车技术,为企业长远发展奠定了坚实的基础。

总成制造方面:车桥总成由济南桥箱有限公司负责,动力系统由动力事业部组织济南发动机部、杭州发动机有限公司、济南复强动力有限公司、重庆燃油喷射系统有限公司四个单位;变速箱总成由济南变速箱部、大同齿轮有限公司两个制造单位。
