丹麦尊宝故事是1966年从一个丹麦渔村Glyngore的小木工棚开始的。一个年轻人PrebenJacobsen从他对木工的爱好开始,一步步建立起他的音响帝国。

带着出众的木工手艺和追求最完美声音的热情,Preben开始设计和生产音箱的箱体,并通过学习声学的知识和技术开始手工制造音箱。1968年,就是在他制造出第一只音箱两年之后,Preben的姐夫Julius Mortensen加入了创业的团队,Julius主要负责产品的营销。同年,两人共同创建了尊宝:Jacobsen和Mortensen两人姓氏的前两个字母的组合——Jamo。
