On the other hand, in order to meet the emergency needs, the Macao power plant was built on the Macao Peninsula in 1983, and four medium speed four stroke diesel generating sets with a total capacity of 32000 kW were installed. By June 1984, Guangdong electric power company began to supply power to Macao, and Macao power grid began to become an integral part of China's southern power grid, which improved the flexibility of power supply in Macao. So far, aodian has three power sources, namely, Luhuan power plant, Macao power plant and Guangdong power supply. The power supply situation has greatly improved. In 1985, the Macao authorities signed a 25-year franchise contract with Macao power Co., Ltd. in 1987, after the restructuring of aodian, the Macao authorities transferred the shares of aodian. After the restructuring of aodian, it focused on the development of local power and determined the direction of the development of low-speed diesel generator sets, mainly to expand the Luhuan power plant. At present, the total installed capacity of Luhuan power plant has reached 260000 kW, becoming the main power plant in Australia. In order to solve the problem of household and industrial waste, the Macao authorities decided in March 1987 to build three waste incinerators, one 12000 kilowatt generator set and sell the rest to Macao power. The first phase of the project was completed from April to November 1992, the second phase was completed on November 11, 1992, and was unveiled on December 5, 1992. After the reorganization of aodian, with good service quality and appropriate investment strategy, and in line with the continuous growth of power supply in the region, all aspects of aodian's work are on track.
