宜兴市艺蝶针织有限公司，地处太湖之滨——陶都宜兴。艺蝶的前身是宜兴涤纶厂组建的宜兴涤纶二厂（现华亚化纤有限公司），始建于1987年。由于公司产品富有艺术感，做出的蝴蝶栩栩如生，同时配合“宜”（宜兴）和“涤“（涤纶厂）的谐音。2001年华亚化纤为了扩产，需用原涤纶二厂的厂房，所以将原涤纶二厂部分机器连同熟练工转让给经编车间主任储国平（现任艺蝶董事长），更名为宜兴市艺蝶针织有限公司，迁址科学仪器设备厂原址。后由于旧厂房无法满足生产需要，为了扩大生产，征地30亩，重建新厂房。
艺蝶是国内较早引进经编无缝机的工厂，拥有KALMAYER生产过的各种机型，并且在国内外是机器台数多的工厂，以生产经编袜子、内衣、内裤、围巾、披肩为主，品种和产量是全球较高的工厂，能够满足技术层面及数量方面的要求。
艺蝶产品主要由以下几大系列组成：时尚提花经编内衣、连裤袜、七分裤、九分裤， 长、中、短统袜，船袜；经编围巾 、披毯；经编手套、帽子等。年产连裤袜5000万条，长筒袜300万双，短袜300万双，短手套500万付，围巾800万条，披毯200万条，内衣100万件。主要产品——时尚网袜系列占国内网袜市场的30%的份额。
