重庆钢铁股份有限公司成立于1997年8月。公司“十一五”初正式启动环保搬迁，于“十二五”期间完成。2011年9月关停大渡口生产设施，长寿钢铁一期650万吨钢生产系统投产。2013年5月长寿钢铁二期工程180万吨产品结构调整建成，标志着总投资360亿元钢铁主业环保搬迁建设完成。

截止2017年12月，主要工艺装备包括：6座60孔6米焦炉，3座360平方米烧结机，3座2500立方米高炉，1座1750立方米高炉，3座210吨转炉，3座80吨转炉，7台板方坯连铸机、4100mm宽厚板生产线，2700mm中厚板生产线，1780mm热连轧薄板带生产线以及高速线材、棒材、型材生产线。各工序产能包括：焦炭360万吨/年，烧结矿1270万吨/年，生铁750万吨/年，钢830万吨/年，钢材745万吨/年。主要产品包括：热轧薄板350万吨/年，中厚板280万吨/年，型材30万吨/年，棒材50万吨/年，线材35万吨/年，具备年产830万吨钢生产能力。

公司为钢铁全流程生产线，生产部门有焦化、烧结、炼铁、炼钢、三条轧制生产线，以及物运部、维检部、商贸公司；管理及服务部门有办公室（党群工作部、董事办）、财务绩效部、人力资源部、风险管控部、安全环保部、纪委监察部（监事办）、运行中心、技术中心、能控中心、保障中心。另外，公司拥有靖江华东商贸有限公司、重庆市重钢建材销售有限责任公司等2家全资子公司；靖江三峰钢材加工配送有限公司为公司的控股子公司；以及在北京、上海、广东、厦门、四川、重庆等地的6个区域销售分公司。随着公司营销战略布局的调整，分、子公司将逐步关闭。

As of December 2017, the main process equipment includes: 6 coke ovens with 60 holes and 6 meters, 3 sintering machines with 360 square meters, 3 blast furnaces with 2500 cubic meters, 1 blast furnace with 1750 cubic meters, 3 converters with 210 tons, 3 converters with 80 tons, 7 slab casters, 4100mm wide and thick plate production line, 2700mm medium and thick plate production line, 1780mm hot continuous rolling thin plate belt production line and high-speed wire rod, bar and profile production line. The production capacity of each process includes: Coke 3.6 million tons / year, sinter 12.7 million tons / year, pig iron 7.5 million tons / year, steel 8.3 million tons / year and steel 7.45 million tons / year. The main products include: hot rolled sheet 3.5 million tons / year, medium and thick plate 2.8 million tons / year, profile 300000 tons / year, bar 500000 tons / year, wire 350000 tons / year, with an annual production capacity of 8.3 million tons of steel. The company is a whole process production line of iron and steel, with three production lines of coking, sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking and rolling, as well as material transportation department, maintenance department and commercial company; management and service departments include office (Party and Mass Work Department, board office), financial performance department, human resources Department, risk management and control department, safety and environmental protection department, Discipline Inspection Commission supervision department (Supervisor Office), operation center and technology department Operation center, control center and support center.
