mijia的名字取自小米智能家庭中的，"米"与"家"的全拼，造型整体类似盾牌形状。据米家设计师介绍，logo的释义既是为智能家庭提供可信赖的防护措施，又希望未来可以在消费者家庭中带来更多的生活情趣。
