贵州竹乡鸡养殖有限公司，成立于2009年3月9日，公司位于赤水市天台镇铁匠炉村。

公司主要从事赤水乌骨鸡种质资源保护与开发利用工作，是我市的一家省级畜禽标准化养殖企业，经过多年选育，已培育出赤水乌骨鸡黑羽、白羽和绿壳蛋鸡三个品系，现公司主要经营产品有赤水乌骨鸡、赤水乌骨鸡鸡苗、赤水乌骨鸡绿壳蛋。赤水乌骨鸡（又名竹乡乌骨鸡）是赤水市特殊地理环境和自然资源条件下，经过培育繁衍而成的一个遗传基础丰富、性状较为稳定的地方特色家禽品种。其生长环境无任何污染，绿色环保，属地道的原生态产品。

赤水乌骨鸡采用“林地生态放养﹢原粮补饲”的生产方式进行养殖，富含各种氨基酸、矿物质和微量元素，其中公鸡肉质含谷氨酸3.60%、丙氨酸1.49%、缬氨酸1.10%、蛋氨酸0.68%、亮氨酸1.93%、异亮氨酸1.07%、酪氨酸0.78%、苯丙氨酸0.93%、组氨酸0.95%，含Fe18.8mg/kg、Zn7.16mg/kg、Ca6.2×10-5%；母鸡肉质含谷氨酸3.60%、丙氨酸1.38%、缬氨酸1.06%、蛋氨酸0.64%、亮氨酸1.88%、异亮氨酸1.04%、酪氨酸0.85%、苯丙氨酸0.90%、组氨酸0.82%，含Fe9.57mg/kg、Zn14.14mg/kg、Ca6.4×10-5%。因而肉质鲜嫩、营养丰富，具有较高的保健药用价值。赤水乌骨鸡绿壳蛋蛋重40—55g，蛋为椭圆型，蛋壳厚薄适中；气室较小、蛋白透明、蛋黄着色深、口感鲜香细嫩。
