苏大明世成立的初衷是将苏州大学现代光学研究所余景池教授课题组在非球面和自由曲面光学设计和数控加工方面的科研成果产业化。经过十五年的发展，公司已经成为目前国内渐进多焦点树脂镜片玻璃模具供应商，生产出的各类型渐进多焦点模具、抗疲劳模具、8轴两面非球面模具，均已达到世界前列水平。

The original intention of Su damingshi was to industrialize the research achievements of Yu Jingchi, Professor of Modern Optics Research Institute of Suzhou University, in the optical design and numerical control processing of aspheric and free-form surfaces. After 15 years of development, the company has become a domestic supplier of progressive multifocal resin lens glass mold. All types of progressive multifocal mold, anti fatigue mold and 8-axis two-sided aspheric mold have reached the world's leading level. In terms of precision optical components, Su damingshi designed, developed and processed optical components for various precision instruments and equipment by using his own technology and processing ability in the neighborhood of ophthalmic optics.
