无锡市宏泰电机股份有限公司始建于1958年，于1998年转制。是国内较早从事起重和冶金电动机的生产专业厂家。企业拥有自营进出口权，在技术研发方面力量雄厚，是YZP起重冶金变频电机GB/T21972.1-2008；YZRW涡流制动电机GB/T21974-2008；起重冶金电机试验方法GB/T 21975-2008等国家标准的制订者。

公司在2006年搬迁至新厂区，并投入1.2亿元巨资进行技术改造，新老厂区占地面积65366平方米，建筑面积48586平方米。搬入新厂区后，公司调整产品结构，从原来单一依靠起重电机，转变为起重电机、出口电机、特种非标电机三大事业部齐头并进的良好局面。2013年起重电机事业部完成销售1.58亿元、电机出口海外事业部完成销售1260万美元、特种非标电机事业部完成销售5700万元。
