全日空第二任社长冈崎嘉平太先生倾力恢复中国同日本邦交为中、日两国所熟知。全日空在1972年8月承运至上海的包机航班,同年9月,承运日本首相访华随行记者团到北京的包机航班。全日空是继日本航空公司(JAL)于1987年开通中日两国间定期航线的日本航空公司。2002年,全日空开始提供大连、青岛、天津与东京之间的定期全货机航线服务。全日空与中国国际航空公司、上海航空公司于2004年开始运营代码共享航班。 截至2008年在中、日之间已开通包括香港在内的17条航线,每周运行126个航班。

2007年7月全日空推出特别涂装的“飞天熊猫”客机,以纪念该公司中国航线开通20周年。飞机内的餐具、座椅、靠枕以及空姐服装上都印上了可爱的熊猫图案。全日空向日本全国学龄前儿童征集了客机的昵称,命名为“飞天熊猫”。

全日空在中国积极开展社会贡献事业。2002年为了纪念中日邦交正常化30周年,及全日空在中国通航15周年,向中国递交全日空在中国河北省捐建小学校目录。2005年全日空公司开始赞助中国乒乓球超级联赛。2004年全日空开始赞助北京国际马拉松赛事。

2010年6月15日,全日空正式与澳门航空展开合作关系。
