公司隶属宁波银亿集团有限公司，公司前身为广西河池氮肥厂，始建于1969年，1976年建成投产，1993年改制成立广西河池化学工业集团公司。1993年7月，由广西河池化学工业集团公司作为发起人，将广西河池氮肥厂整体改组设立了由集团公司控股的“广西河池化工股份有限公司”。1999年12月，广西河池化工股份有限公司的5000万A股股票在深圳证券交易所上市交易，成为广西化工行业和全国同类型企业上市公司。2005年5月，公司划转中国化工集团。

依托中国化工集团的资金和技术实力，今年来，公司进行了大规模、高起点的技术改造升级，公司提出了重造一个新河化的目标，两年内斥资3.5亿完成了扩能降耗、原料调整、能量优化三大项目，投资1亿元完成了污水终端处理、烟气除尘脱硫两大环保项目。形成了以尿素、高浓度复合肥、水泥为主，以汽机发电、塑料编织袋、液体二氧化碳、硫磺为辅的产品结构。其中，公司尿素年产量约占广西自产尿素总量的60%，是广西较大的尿素生产厂家。目前，公司总资产12亿元，员工2200人，年产值约8亿元。“群山牌”系列产品在广西及西南地区享有盛誉。
