大秦铁路股份有限公司（601006）是由中国铁路太原局集团有限公司控股的一家以煤炭、焦炭、钢铁、矿石和旅客运输为主的区域性、多元化的铁路运输企业。公司于2004年10月26日创立，10月28日在国家工商总局注册。公司法定代表人为赵春雷先生。

公司于2006年7月在国内资本市场公开发行A股股票，并于8月1日在上海证券交易所正式挂牌交易，成为以路网核心干线为主体的上市公司，搭建了铁路通过资本市场融资的平台，标志着铁路投融资体制改革取得重大突破。

公司拥有的铁路干线衔接了我国北方地区重要的煤炭供应和中转枢纽，处于“承东启西”的战略位置。主要担负着山西省的客货运输和冀、京、津、蒙、陕等省市区的部分货运任务，在全国铁路货物运输市场中保持地位。2016年，公司完成旅客发送量5578万人，货物发送量44737万吨，货物运输量60550万吨。大秦线完成货物运输量35125万吨。

公司拥有成熟、先进、可靠的铁路煤炭重载运输技术体系。所辖大秦线是具有世界先进水平、年运量大的现代化专业煤炭运输线路，采用Locotrol、双线电气化、GSM-R等重载技术，配置了性能先进的机车车辆等设备。公司依托北同蒲、宁岢线等万吨、2万吨装车点和秦皇岛、曹妃甸等煤炭接卸港口，组织大规模自动化装卸和重载直达运输，形成了完整、先进、高效的煤炭重载集疏运系统。

公司控股5家子公司，分别为：大秦铁路经贸发展有限公司（持股100%）、山西晋云现代物流有限公司（持股100%）、山西侯禹铁路有限责任公司（持股92.5%）、山西太兴铁路有限责任公司（持股74.4%）、山西中鼎物流集团有限公司（69.26%）；参股朔黄铁路发展有限责任公司（持股41.16%）、迁安路港国际物流有限公司（持股15%）和秦皇岛港股份有限公司（持股0.85%）。
