昆明远方生物制品有限公司成立于2002年6月,注册资金3000万元，下设“昆明远方生物制品有限公司营销中心” (全资子公司)及“云南贝叶傣医药研究所”(全资研发机构)。坐落于春城昆明市富民工业园区，建筑面积达5000多平方米，净化车间面积1500平方米。经省、市批准立项的“舒霖系列傣药产业化基地建设项目”现已建设完成并投入使用，获多项国家创新基金支持。

公司成立之初，立志创新发展，斥资成立“云南贝叶傣医药研究所”，挖掘、整理、创新、发展云南独有的傣医药资源，为公司傣药的研发、生产注入了强大的生命力。创新是公司发展的不竭动力。在技术、产品、文化及管理方面贯彻创新意识，积极倡导并努力实践现代化企业经营理念。
