宁夏德龙酒业有限公司在泰国德盛集团的支持下，于2007年10月开始筹备规划，2008年9月正式开发建设，预计将在6－8年的时间内投资近20亿人民币逐步开发建设完成。公司葡萄基地面积约十二万亩，地处“塞上江南”的银川境内，西界天然屏障贺兰山，北界银巴路西夏王陵自然保护区，南界兰训基地，东界黄羊滩农场，中有201省道和黄河灌溉渠西夏渠穿过，东西跨度8公里，南北跨度10公里，地理位置便利。加上生产基地地处中国酿酒葡萄种植地区——贺兰山东麓，这些得天独厚的优势为公司的开发建设提供了有利的条件。
