中南大学湘雅二医院（原湖南医科大学附属第二医院）位于历史名城，湖南省会长沙，脱胎于1906年美国雅礼协会在中国创办较早的西医院之一——雅礼医院，始建于1958年，是中南大学附属的大型综合性三级甲等医院，是国内学科齐全、技术力量雄厚的医院之一。

医院现有在岗正式职工4800余人，其中高级专业技术人员722人；占地面积260余亩，医疗建筑面积36.46万平方米，编制床位3500张；拥有PET-CT、医用回旋加速器、医用直线加速器、双源CT、3.0T核磁共振仪、达芬奇手术机器人等千万元以上设备10余台（件）。
