云南金秋种业有限公司成立于2006年，公司所在地是云南省祥云县。公司始终坚持“科技为先、服务三农、造福社会”的经营理念，牢固树立“志创世界出色的农业科技型企业”，不断完善、巩固发展基础。现已初步形成集种子科研、生产加工、销售为一体的现代种子科技型企业。

公司现有固定员工47人，其中有农业专业技术的人员31人，中级职称以上的人员8人、副高3人，其他类工作人员16人。公司于2009年投资种子科研，现已形成比较完善的杂交玉米商业化育种体系，其中拥有自交系材料7000余份，通过传统育种结合分子标记和分子诱导技术，每年可选育出新的自交系材料30-50份，每年测配杂交玉米新组合10000份以上，每年可投放市场的新品种1-3个。

公司每年杂交种子生产面积在8000-10000亩，其中云南省内6000亩左右，年入库种子总产量300万公斤左右。
