公司前身为浙江嘉化工业园投资发展有限公司，成立于2003年1月20日。2011年5月11日，公司整体变更为“浙江嘉化能源化工股份有限公司”。作为较早落户浙江嘉兴港区“中国化工新材料（嘉兴）园区”企业之一，公司主营蒸汽、氯碱、邻对位、脂肪醇（酸）和硫酸五大系列产品。“高起点、环保型和循环经济”是公司项目建设的核心理念。

公司产汽量1180t/h，配套80000KWh热电机组，是园区内一家蒸汽供应商，向园区及相邻的海盐经济开发区化工企业供应蒸汽，目前正在继续实施热电联产机组技改及扩产项目，引进国际技术的福斯特惠勒锅炉。氯碱系列产品生产能力29.7万吨/年，引进了日本氯工程（Chlorine Engineers）的离子膜烧碱技术设备，为浙北地区较大生产商之一。

脂肪醇（酸）系列产品20万吨/年，引进了意大利和英国二家公司的专有技术，关键设备从德国公司引进。该产品是以公司放空氢气回收生产为源头的资源就地转化系列产品。

The company's steam output is 1180t / h, supporting 80000kwh thermal power unit. It is a steam supplier in the park, supplying steam to chemical enterprises in the park and adjacent Haiyan Economic Development Zone. At present, it is continuing to implement the technical transformation and expansion project of the combined heat and power unit, and introducing the international technology of Foster Wheeler boiler. The production capacity of chlor alkali series products is 297000 tons / year, and the ion-exchange membrane caustic soda technology equipment of Japan chlorine engineers is introduced, which is one of the larger producers in Northern Zhejiang. The series products of fatty alcohol (acid) are 200000 tons / year, and the proprietary technology of Italian and British companies is introduced. The key equipment is imported from German companies. The product is a series of on-site conversion products of resources with the company's vent hydrogen recovery production as the source. As the basic chemical and steam supplier of the whole circular economy industrial chain in the park, the company always keeps its social responsibility while developing economy.
