Solvil et Titus于一八八七年创立。当时，瑞士表业的显赫人物保罗 · 狄森(Paul Ditisheim) (1868 – 1945) 将他创制的一款腕表以此命名，Solvil et Titus便由此诞生。Solvil是瑞士侏罗区（Jura）内一个名为Sonvilier的村落的简称，而Titus则是公元一世纪极富才华的罗马君主。
