北大荒通用航空有限公司成立于1985年，隶属于黑龙江省农垦总局，总部位于哈市松北区，两个主飞行基地分别位于佳木斯市和肇东市，是目前世界规模较大的农、林专业通用航空公司。

公司现有从业人员304人，其中飞行员80人，机械师130人，资产14亿元。2014年以来公司引进的固定翼、直升机等多种型号农用飞机40余架，已陆续投入使用，目前已有各种型号农用飞机、教练机99架。年飞行能力超过2万小时，年航空作业能力135万公顷。两个主运行基地，佳木斯基地占地面积77公顷，跑道长900米，机库5000平方米，停机坪5万平方米。肇东机地占地300公顷，跑道长1800米，停机坪7万平方米，可以满足通用航空各种运行。
