美国联合包裹服务公司UPS将以51.6亿欧元(68亿美元)现金收购欧洲第二大快递企业TNT集团,合并后的公司将超越美国联邦快递和德国敦豪快递。

UPS和TNT于2012年3月19日发布联合公告称,收购价格为每股9.5欧元  欧洲快递市场份额,较之该股2月16日,也就是双方宣布正在进行相关谈判前一天的收盘价溢价53.7%。

UPS从2008年以来就传出收购TNT的消息,希望扩大在欧洲市场的影响力。2010年UPS占欧洲快递包裹市场7.7%的份额,TNT占9.6%,二者结合将赶上德国敦豪快递17.6%的份额。

亚太地区

亚太地区成立于1986年,总部位于新加坡, 为亚太地区的 40 多个国家与地区提供服务。亚太地区现有员工15,018人,共有各种车辆1,887辆(包括包裹运送车、卡车、拖车、货车和摩托车),营业设施308个(行政机构、包裹中心、转运中心、航站、配送中心、仓库)。亚太地区的航空枢纽港包括中国上海、中国深圳、中国香港。

UPS上海国际转运中心于2008年12月9日启用,坐落于浦东国际机场(PVG),是UPS全球第三大转运中心,提供7天24小时清关服务,专门设计用来改善并加强对于快递以及大宗货运的处理。该转运中心共配备117条运送带和47个入坞港,货物分拣能力预计达到每小时17000件。

国际快递巨头UPS在深圳宝安机场的航空转运中心在2010年5月18日正式启用,这是UPS在中国继上海之后的第二个转运中心。UPS亚太区总裁德瑞克.伍德沃德表示,加上香港转运中心,UPS全球10多个转运中心有三个布局在中国,中国是UPS最重要的海外市场。下一步将和国内航空公司合作,扩张在中国国内航线网络。

新的转运中心操作站占地13万平方米,相当于12个标准足球场,目前已经竣工的一期工程9万平米,另有15万平米停机坪。现已安装的设备可以支持每小时处理1.8万件包裹,日后将扩容到每小时3.6万件的处理能力。深圳海关、出入境检验检疫在转运中心驻场办公,可24小时进行货物申报、检查和通关。目前该转运中心有员工400多名。 对于该转运中心和2008年12月启用的上海转运中心的定位区别,UPS亚太区总裁伍德沃德表示,上海的客户以高科技、高附加值产品为主,出口直欧美日本和中东市场,这两个中心在功能上互补的。上海中心的功能是将中国与欧美和中东连接,是一个国际转运中心,而深圳主要是亚洲内部货物中转。

深圳转运中心的启用,标志着UPS在中国完成“上海、深圳双中心”运作的布局。之前承担亚太区转运功能的菲律宾克拉克转运中心基本被这两个中心取代,目前仅深圳转运中心,其操作面积是克拉克转运中心的5倍,每小时处理货量是后者7倍。

Shenzhen is mainly internal cargo transshipment in Asia. The opening of Shenzhen transfer center marks the completion of UPS's operation layout of "Shanghai and Shenzhen double centers" in China. The Philippine Clark transit center, which previously undertook the Asia Pacific region transit function, has been basically replaced by these two centers. At present, only Shenzhen transit center has five times the operation area of Clark transit center and seven times the hourly handling capacity of the latter.
