一、百年史话
达仁堂是有着三百年历史的"乐家老铺"的正宗后裔。"乐家老铺"以其用药地道、炮制如法深得民间信仰，并于1723年承办御药，名声显赫。1913年乐氏十二世乐达仁先生立志用他在英、德等西方国家学到的管理方法改造前店后厂的中药企业-京都达仁堂乐家老药铺，与其弟乐达义、乐达明、乐达德四人筹集白银四万两，于1914年在天津创办了天津达仁堂。从1917年起，先后在北京、青岛、武汉、长沙、福州、西安、长春、大连、郑州、开封、香港等开设了分店，销售药物1000余种。
达仁堂为采购人参，特建立达仁参号，另开辟养鹿场、蜂场自取鹿茸及优质蜂蜜，另外开办达仁铁工厂、达仁女校等。尤其是1934年乐肇基、乐松生先生在任期间，引进西方科学技术，采用电动石磨、电动罗筛；安装冷冻机、打深井建水塔，以为药用，在当时中药界开风气之先。
1949年全国解放，达仁堂的经营也发生了天翻地覆的变化。1953年，达仁堂改组为股份有限公司，1954年成立了达仁堂国药有限公司；1955年，达仁堂实现公私合营，调整了机构。1966年至1976年文化大革命期间，达仁堂曾先后两次更名，1966年更名为"天津工农兵药厂"，1973年更名为"天津第二中药厂"，直至1980年5月1日，达仁堂恢复了老牌匾，由当时的卫生部副部长，国家医药总局局长胡昭衡先生亲笔题写了厂牌。并形成了今天的厂标。

Until May 1, 1980, Darentang restored the old plaque. Mr. Hu zhaoheng, then Vice Minister of the Ministry of health and director of the State Administration of medicine, personally wrote the brand.
