凌源钢铁集团有限责任公司(简称凌钢)始建于1966年,是以钢铁为主业,兼营轮胎化工、机械制造、新材料、新能源、矿产资源、金融的大型国有企业集团。下辖凌钢股份(上市公司)和5个参股公司,受托管理朝阳龙山资产管理公司。公司现有资产总额312亿元,年产钢能力600万吨,在岗职工11500人,人均产钢500吨。2016年,产钢488万吨,载重轮胎228.1万套,柴油发动机3.76万台。

通过近年来大规模技术改造,主体装备逐步向大型化、现代化、节能化发展,市场竞争能力进一步提升。凌钢是通过国家工信部《钢铁行业规范条件》审核的企业。现有高炉5座;转炉6座;棒线材轧线6条;中宽热带轧线1条;钢管生产线11条。大力开展信息化建设,覆盖全公司的信息化系统已上线运行,并通过了国家工信部“两化融合”管理体系审核评定。

稳步推进资源开发战略,建立起了稳定的资源供应基地。凌钢拥有保国铁矿和北票永山、建平磷铁矿、凌源红山、宁城怡山、敖汉虞山等6个矿业公司,铁矿资源总储量超过5亿吨,还取得了储量近10亿吨的石灰石矿资源。

不断深化企业内部改革,改制剥离了汽车运输、机械制造、建筑安装、生活福利等辅业子公司,分离了学校、医院、公安等办社会职能。进行了集团化体制改革,形成了精干高效的集团结构。

节能减排成效显著。2008年以来,凌钢累计投入节能减排资金近30亿元。所有环保设施均采用国家推广的先进技术,排放指标全部符合国家标准,600万吨钢产能环境现状评估报告通过了评审。污水实现了零排放;煤气实现了零放散;高炉全部实现了TRT发电,人造富矿、冶炼、轧材系统余热全部回收,自发电比例达到70%以上;转炉实现了负能炼钢和钢渣零排放;大高炉、大转炉采用了干法除尘;焦炉采用了干熄焦,烧结、竖炉、球团全部实现了脱硫。
