医院占地面积8.6万平方米，建筑面积13.2万平方米，开放床位1360张，于1993年通过三级甲等医院评审，是天津市区域医疗中心。医院科室设置齐全，设有临床科室35个、医技科室12个。拥有博士学位点9个、硕士学位点24个。
