公司2004年1月15日正式挂牌成立，总占地面积为52.68公顷，公司总投资为82.8亿元。
首期工程40万吨热镀锌项目于2004年4月13日动工建设，2006年1月17日竣工；二期工程180万吨冷轧项目2007年12月18日开始建设，并于2011年陆续投产。
产品覆盖高级轿车用钢板，主要供应国内日系、欧美系、自主品牌等众多汽车生产厂家，以及家电、PC和OA等市场。
Guangzhou JFE steel plate Co., Ltd. is located in Wanqingsha Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou city. It is a Sino foreign joint venture jointly established by Guangzhou sheet Co., Ltd. (Baosteel holding) and JFE Steel Co., Ltd. of Japan with 50% investment respectively. It is an enterprise that produces cold-rolled and hot-dip galvanized steel plates in South China. The company was officially established on January 15, 2004, with a total area of 52.68 hectares and a total investment of 8.28 billion yuan. The first phase of the project started on April 13, 2004 and completed on January 17, 2006; the second phase of the project started on December 18, 2007 and put into operation in 2011. Our products cover steel plates for high-end cars, mainly for domestic and Japanese, European and American, independent brands and many other automobile manufacturers, as well as home appliances, PC, OA and other markets.
