In the past 16 years since its establishment, Zhangjiagang rural commercial bank has adhered to the idea of "follow you and achieve you", focused on serving small and medium-sized micro enterprises, actively played the typical exemplary role of the "experimental field" of the national rural financial reform, and put forward the new reform ideas of listing and cross regional development in the national rural financial institutions earlier. In 2007, the bank started listing earlier in the national rural financial system and became an agricultural commercial bank whose listing application was officially accepted by the CSRC; on January 24, 2017, the bank was successfully listed in Shenzhen stock exchange with the stock exchange code of 002839. In 2008, it successfully took a step of cross regional development. By the end of June 2017, it had 40 sub branches, 1 head office business department, 2 branches, 57 banking offices and 1 community sub branch, with a total number of 101 institutions. It also initiated the establishment of a holding village bank in Shouguang, Shandong Province, and Donghai, Jiangsu Province, and participated in 5 rural financial institutions inside and outside the province.
