丝路基金的资金规模为400亿美元，首期资本金100亿美元。其中，外汇储备（通过梧桐树投资平台有限责任公司）、中国投资有限责任公司（通过赛里斯投资有限责任公司）、国家开发银行（通过国开金融有限责任公司）、中国进出口银行分别出资65亿美元、15亿美元、5亿美元和15亿美元。
